That was interesting reading .
I am a little concerned as I had a Mylogram done in my spine in 2002 at Wellington Radiology Dept .
The Head of Radiology did it himself and remarked to me whist doing this that this was the first Mylogram he had done in 16 years .
Hell that made feel reall good !!

And then I wondered just how long had the dye been sitting on the shelf ??

I have has numbness and pain too in areas down from where the dye was injected in .
How can I know for sure that I am OK ,can normal X-rays pick this up ??
cheers

Just to clairify a few issues.
Myodil the drug used for x-rays was with drawn from the market in 1987 ,
It had a shelf life of 3 years ,
It should not have been used after 1990 .
I was the person that obtained this infor from Derik and brought it back to NZ.
I was helped by a good friend to post all this info on site.

Greetings,

" Myodil the drug used for x-rays was with drawn from the market in 1987 ,
It had a shelf life of 3 years ,
It should not have been used after 1990" .

Dont have the details... But this poison has been used of recent times as well...
And its been BANNED INTERNATIONALLY...since 1985... :o
SO... WHY IS IT STILL IN USE HERE IN NZ.???

There have been several cases of Adhesive Arachnoiditis ... DUE TO MYODIL,
ACCEPTED BY ACC... 2 of recent... 1 with a decent payout...
AND Gaffa's info has been used to achieve this...

Even if it dont cause Arachnoiditis... This chemical is CORROSIVE... and can damage nerves/nerve endings...

SO WHY DO THEY NOT NOT ACCEPT GAFFA's CASE... THERE IS ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO PROVE HIS CASE.

IS GAFFA BEING "PUNISHED FOR EXPOSING IT" ....
