Hi
Theres been alot of discusion about this Dr on the forum and some not very nice feed back about how he goes about his wording in reports.
Alot of opinion suggest a Toad.

MY OPINION... <_<

I would be concerned to what information Acc "don't" give him, to form a report.
Request the info Acc are providing him by way of catalog of information provided to OTO to make a report and be prepared to defend the outcome of his assessment.

I would go through all your reports with him infront of a witness and video pointing out relevant points of this assessment, so he can't say he wasn't given certain information to take into consideration..
When you may have to prove fraud... or have to pay for an independant conflicting opinion to show how this report is flawed..
Prepare for this assessment and take into your thoughts in preparation what the Acc agenda to "deny". IE what needs to be left out of this potential Toad report...
Research and goodluck.

If you fail to attend without reasonable excuse you will need to prove that at a review and possibly appeal as Acc will not continue to provide, if they are... ... Prepare for a long process by non attendance.
Sorry to hear of this situation. I recall they were starting to tough love you from previous posts of yours... denying entitlements, Now force of Toad comes into effect your family and I hope you can afford another report from Acc's timely removal of entitlements........

Request from your Case Manager an exact copy of all documents they intend to make available to Dr Otto

When/If you attend the appointment, advise Dr Otto that as he should have the exact same documents you were provided by your Case Manager as he got from them he shouldn't object exchanging his with yours

If he refuses, then you know something is not right

another way

Write to Dr Otto advising him that you intend to record (and possibily video) the assessment of which will be used as part of your Review and Appeal submissions if nessasary

You will get a response, more than likely, that he refuses to see you which will force the Case Manager to find another assessor

Please, if you want to devulge this info, send me the name of your case manager and the branch he/she is based at, by pm. I won't contact him/her but will add it to my ever growing list that I have.

Cheers

Yeah tell me about it! Was warned about Focus on Jobs but hadn't known they were so bad as to lie against the claimant! Denise Martin makes verbal arrangements or telephone appointments but does not let the claimant know, about it! She'll say the claimant agreed to the appointment via voicemail even tho' said claimant's ph is out of the coverage area and doesn't work! The claimant doesn't know anything about it until they get a threat from ACC for failure to keep appointments. In other words folks, DENISE MARTIN LIES!

ACC will not give out their email contacts either.

MOE, I believe ACC (when forced) would legally have to give you emails relating in any way to you/ACC matters!

Complain to your MP, the Privacy Commissioner and/or Ombudsmen!

I wonder what could be in the emails that makes them worth withholding!

Moe it is pointless in making such a statement unless you are going to correct the statement.

The Assessor is supplying a service to you not ACC. You prepaid for the service.

Curateing a false document for a goverment orginisation is an offence

They were saying that you were non compliant, then take it to complaints , review when complaints dont investigate it.

If they remove entitlements then look at theif and fraud charges in the out fit.

Remember your IRP is more than likely to have the out cone as require or gain vocational independence which means be independent from ACC as much as possible.

dopel, the assessor is NOT supplying service to Moe. They are at the behest of ACC to see how many they can get for NON COMPLIANCE and this is one of the ploys to get that target.

It has been told me that there are other wee ploys around by service providers to ACC, trapping people into non-compliance. The tough love policy is being played out in many shrewd dirty little ways.

Everyone has to be aware and very careful cos at the push of button your ERC is smashed.

ACC are emplying a lot of dirty tricks now.Jocko's troubles re the 6mths cert is another ploy as well.

Nick SMith has instructed LTC's are to go so go they will, including those being abated.....
The 35hrs has been reduced to 30, so watch out those of you being abated.
You wll be assessed and then the 30hrs comes into play and bang you are off.

Start saving now for the costly litigation...

As expected - report came back from Otto and he is fit to work. Report took a very long time - must have had to change it just the way ACC wanted it aye.
WHAT IS WITH THESE PEOPLE !!!!!
WHY ARE ACC AND THESE TOADIES ALLOWED TO ABUSE THE INJURED LIKE THIS. GREAT COUNTRY - PARADISE - YEAH RIGHT !!!

Scared, this report has to be challenged. Hubby has to point out where there are discrepancies. It is probable the ACC got him to change it and he is a man of few scruples so will have done so.Get the full file and the MRI report.
Hubby will have to go to a person like Dr Wigley of Palmerston Nth for a decent honest report.
This is terrible but just as I predicted some weeks ago.
I know of several whose lives were ruined by Otto, but one at least had his report oveturned after going to USA!!!!!!!

can you base your case of not seeing this person, on the reputation of that person, i.e the coments on here, and how many times his reports were proved misleading?

The only thing I worry about all those defend yourself tactics like tape recorders, makes US look dodgy, can you request others, I thought acc gave 2 assessors to choose??

woops not up with play... the apointment past tense.

Has anyone gone and got a job doing what you are surposedly surposed to be able to do, then see what happens, i.e to prove you can't do it, by trying it, then getting your injury assessed, and whether you collapsed on the job etc...

I only say that, as I have physically collapsed from fatigue when trying to increase hours b4.

So is it worth trying the job? then deciding if you can do it or not. If you can't do it, then you could say to Dr otta 'what do you suggest now?'....

Dr(?) Otto wouldn't give a rat's @ss, what can or cannot be done. And they do not have to give a choice of accessors now - we tried that when we first found out it was Otto.
But thanks for the suggestions anyway. We have been down this track before and done the whole review thing - and won, but it is getting up the extreme energy to actually go thru it all over again, sometimes the stress is just too much.
