Graeme Bashford an arrogant ACC Director of serivces denies this guy needs any more help.
He said ACC give people entitlements after they have been assessed by THEIR VERY PROFESSIONAL ASSESSORS.
Go to TV1 website or can someone post it up here?
A disgusting story yet again!!

Bashford obviously has no understanding of the legislation. He made other glaring mistakes which pretty well explains why ACC get it wrong when one of their senior staff don't have a clue. Sad really.
I am sure ACC will now sort this guy out and wait for the next media case.
In the meantime, ACC has more claimants to give some of their tough loving too.

I knew this guy when I was about 16 years old (he's a year older than me)
He had a heart of gold and I'm so sad to hear of what has happened to him.
Shame on you AGAIN ACC!

Mr Bashford has stated that ACC has been supportive of FMG and their handling of the claim.
Sorry. The claimant has health and disability insurance bought privately! Why is ACC supportive of FMG managing the claim?
By law in NZ the claimant is entitled to ACC! That entitles him to 80% of his earnings... and all the other "benefits" he is entitled to by New Zealand law.! Namely the ACC Act (&amendments) from the time of his accident and the appropriate rehabiliation.
The claimants rehab plan will have all that covered wont it!
He was wise and bought additional cover for himself in case of an accident!
Since when has an insurance policy overridden New Zealand Law?
ACC must provide adequate rehab... not support the FMG in claiming the policy doesn't cover rehab! or home help!.... That's bullshit!
Its not what ACC is Trying to justify! - It's what have ACC been hiding!
