in 2002 i went to see mark floyd in chch at the ferrymead medical centre for an ima..he recommended i be axed out of my weekly comp or to be precise that i could work 35 hours a week in two occupations..i found him very negative and i had the decision overturned at review..at that stage he was a favourite of catalyst and an acc toadie..cant imagine hes changed over the last few years and joins jorgen schousboe as the two worst specialists i have visited..i would say a man to be avoided at all costs.

OH Rod, you have a lot to learn! IMA is Initial Medical Assessment. ACC are using these illegally to chop you off. This is why you must get a good IMA Dr.
Have you had IOA OR are ACC doing a section #103 on you??

A section 103 of the Act allows ACC to send a client for an update of their medical condition at any time If it is done by a toady ACC assessor, he will deny you have a problem, big bikkies for him and you are history.
Be very wary.

If you do not approve of the report that was written by Floyd, you must highlight all the wrong statements and write a letter to CM and complain. If you dont he gets away with it.
Did you find out what reports were sent to him? Case managers are with holding reports and not sending them to the Assessors.
Ask under Information Act for a copy of your file and find out for yourself what is going on. you need to see a copy of the letter CM sent to Floyd as well.
