Did you know that ACC have different rates for overnight attendant care which is as follows
If a household member is their carer and the claimant ( is aged over 14 ) needs no oversight supervision ie asleep all night ACC will pay $40 per night

If direct assistance up to three times per night ,and less than two hours personal care in total ACC state they will pay $50 per night

If direct assistance of more than three times ,or exceeding two hours in total ACC will pay $60 per night

Should the claimant need continual assistance ,ie awake all night or up every hour ACC state that they will pay the Hourly rate for Level One care $12 per hour or Level two rate of care being $14 per hour !!!

So this leads me to the question why have ACC not been paying the right amount for Personal Caregivers who look after us claimants .???

Why have we not been told that this is what we entitled to???

Why do ACC state that they will only pay $10 per hour to some Personal caregivers and say that is the going rate ???

How come Everyone gets a pay rise even our CMs but for the last 4 years my Personal Caregiver has only been paid the miserly sum of $10 per hour with no pay rise in sight ??

What you guys think about this what rates are PCs are on an hour and are you getting what your entitled too ?????

ACC must owe thousands of claimants back pay for this and we should all put in for reviews for it

What about all on the forum site that needs PC to ask their Cms for the actual rate that should be paid to them and to ask for a rise !!

I have this info in writing from the horses mouth so it is all true !!!

Can someone please help me out by posting this message onto the MSN site as I feel everyone should know about this important info and I am not good on the Computer

Very good Cheers lassy

I've never been told ANY of this!
All i get is a measly rate of 24 hours per week, CM still hasnt sent me forms detailing rates or level ofg care but to date was paid at $8,$10 and $12 per hour,
no childcare, no overnight, nothing.
Think its time i got an acc lawyer any good ones in auck?
