It is quite natuaral to have more than one copy of each document on your file. Why??

Because each time you go to review and appeal a new copy of your file documents needed for that review, appeal are taken and when the review/appeal is finished they will go back onto your file hence making more than one copy.

There is a pattern to it if you go through it carefully and dont rearrange anything they have given you.

At the moment I have just received documents given to IA assessor. They include documents that are so illegable the assessor could not possible have made a proper decision.

I have asked them for a clean copy from their files as they say the assessor got a clean copy. I have yet to recieve a clean copy.

Of course this is going to Review and Appeal. I do not think they have a clean copy and this was most important documentation for the assessor to have and take into consideration.

Very very sloppy administration from the ACC and very damaging to myself as well.

Interesting to say the least.

There is no need for the ACC to make copies of documents that go to the reviewer. ACC sends the full file and highlights the needed document. (that is in the letter you receive from ACC telling you about the review.)

the deterioration of the copy document is deliberate. the Privacy Act does not allow the ACC to use such a document as the document is not correct when the reader can not read the document. The assessor should have asked the ACC for a second copy so it can be read.

I have three copies of my first two volumes of my file and all are different. Some of the pages can not be read while there is documentation in two of the files and not in the third.

The reviewers get modified copies of files and this can contain unreadable pages. this is a case management tool used to remove entitlements.

remember that this also happens with legal services the ACC lawyers and Courts. Legal services modifies the documents to suit the ACC case which may be different to the arguement. Reviewers are also tied up with the dishonesty when making decision that no revoew application has been made or decision been made by the corporation.

Gee whiskers Dopple if you are right then I couldnt have more than one Review or Appeal going at the same time and of course I have four on the go at once, so they must make copies.

No two ways about that.

If it is a management tool to disallow entitlements, they are not getting away with shoddy copies in this instance I can assure you!!

I will ask de Judge for a new assessment with an assessor of my own choice and make sure that I see all the documentation before I go next time.

I did ask them they just said she was using the Psychiatrist report and that sounded logical so I took it for granted it was so, however have found out since that it was not so.

So here we gooooooooooooooo again!! One more time down the same old road.

Do you know that it is not lawful to present unreadible material to the Court as evidence. Makes sence and I hope the Judges dont put up with that rubblish from them.

When I send a Official Request for my full and unbridged files etc

Will the information that has been sent to the IMA Assessor by ACC ,including IOA assessor, plus specialists and any third partys that ACC has sent me to ,will these be included in my files

Or do I need to request this information separately

Plus what Gloria has suggested Below

You can send an Official Request for Information.......they have seperate departments who make payments/disbursements/reimbursements. Ask for full opies of all documentation as to costs and dsbursements on your claim.

Will my CM automatically request these individually from each department or will I have to specify this is my request

My advise is to be specific.

Then you are likely to get them faster if they play ball. They'll not send anything you haven't specifically asked for IMHO.

Some claimants say to send each request separately.......makes sense cause then they can't say they didn't notice there were any other requests when the time comes.

Hi all

You will have to watch attachments to e-mails on the new system of computers.

I have found that you cannot tell what is attached to the e-mail or letter that is shown at the top of the screen on their computer, unless it specifically says on the cover letter or e-mail. This makes it very difficult to know who has been sent what. Fraustrating by true!!

Came across it recently.

What a carry on to get the attachment.

As Gloria says you have to be very specific and even have a fair idea of what to expect the attachment to be before you ask for it, which is bloody ludicrous!!

Cheers
