Lay a complaint with the Privicy commissioner, and ask the agency that employs her in writing if they have instructed the worker to take the photos and gather imformation. I would be asking the Privicy commossioner for damages to awarded to the claimaint for this blatent abuse of privacy. Also lay a complaint with ACC complaints, and ask them in writing if ACC had asked the worker to gather this information for ACC.

If you need a hand to draft letters there are a couple on this board that will be more than willing to help you. Just ask.

The use of a hidden person/spy is recommended in the
Blue book from kiwi careers.

RE: ACC and home help. The use of phones to spy

I spoke to my home help worker this morning who I get on well with.

It is confirmed that this issue has been discussed at a Meeting with home help agencies just lately In WHANGAREI about the use of Phone’s to spy. And I believe that more underhanded issues where also discussed

My dear friends it maybe in use in the northland area by some cleaners and home help agencies .

I have requested to my home helper to please leave phone in car or turn phone OFF

The things to look out for are Going fishing, If you have a boat to go fishing in, lifting, and carrying out small duties round the home ,Lawns and gardening ,
Cutting fire wood , and many other duties,

So please be careful We just have to flick our fingers and the work will be done or stop all pleasures

Greetings,
Home help assessors... Dont like doing assessments on me...
Due to tape recorder and video cam...
Any way no point in doing them repeatedly as no change in situation likely, ever...
My home help is not impressed with ACC loosing, claim for payments forms, or they keep saying they didnt recieve them... So I witness them being faxed, and say so on the bottom of the form...

ACC are deliberately avoiding paying people for their home help if the FORM IS FAXED IN!!!!
To avoid any problems always make sure you always follow the fax with the hard copy original - posted in. You do not have to pay postage, use the ACC freepost no.264.

GREETINGS,
My home help has this problem... every 2nd time...
"We did not recieve it"...
So I write on the bottom of the form...
"Witnessed the faxing of this document" date+time... signed.
and I watch the fax process... from the local service Station.
Seems that this is working... ;)

Tomcat.

You might remember some of my early posts on this tactic to enforce us to use "APPROVED SERVICE PROVIDERS" and their tactics of using the contract rate of say $16 per hour for their approved home help contractor and $12 per hour for non approved.

And the tactic of you have to pay them and they reimburse and the endless fuckups that invole delays in getting payed and having to chase around sending them duplicates of the originals and bloody verifications because they lost it or similar.

I am surprised they are still doing this because I was on about this sort of shit way back on the original board. Funny how when I asked for a coppy of my files they included every home help form I had ever sent which they jumbled up and interspersed some of my real files amongst. Man! the counrty should be ashamed of them.

You should not have to have the unneccessary added expense of needing to fax another or in fact the original because of their incompetence and meet their compliance costs which is the rationale they use to justify the extra payment they make to their APPROVED ARSEHOLES.

This applies across the board anywhere the claimant either, due to remoteness of location and shortage of providers, or a metropolitan area, or because of what ever reasonable preference for any provision of serviceschooses to select their own provider.

In my opinion The department of trade should be looking at the ACC from the aspect of restrictive trade practices of free trade and their use of pay rates to restrict free choice.

when you fax the document the fax will reply with a ime and date. If they say that they didn't get it then check this document for the correct number and then send it by long hand that the charge of service will be added if there is any future delays.

Well why do the agencies send workers that have cell phones and talk on them while in claimant's homes?

The agencies now have the worker log on and off via claimant's landline.

I was at my sister's house when I met the girl talking on her cell phone to the agency while she worked in the bathroom.

Surely claimants are entitled to a right to Privacy? Or should claimants turn the tables on them & start recording the workers? Now there's an idea!

Breach of privacy

this person is there to assist

Is NOT an Assessor, so has no right to anything other than her/his job!

insist on the phone being switched off and left on the phone table, or some highly visible place...

im most jobs, you are not allowed to be taking photos , chatting to all and sundry while working

so this is a deliberate ploy by acc to spy on the people they are supposed to help

and as you suggest camp Mother, if they do contine to chat on the phone/report in to acc while working at yours, video them....showing them NOT doing the job they are paid for......
