Tait, a recognised Pain Specialist.
Kanji or Turner or any of the others, Kahan included have ever done this course. This is a Specialist course in MSM and not Occupational medicine that these prats have undertaken.
Strack does not have MSM after his name and yet he purports to be a "specialist".
I know a fair amount about this as 2 of my Gp's were founding members of the Degree course that was conducted by Otago University and Christchurch School of Medicine. One is now a Specialist in Pain management and Musculoskeletal medicine and I know for a fact that he is wholy sceptical of these ACC so called Specialist prats.
Had Kanji and others done this recognised course, it would be a different outcome for the people of NZ today!!!
ACC you should make it compulsory that they undergo 3 years training in MSM!!

Ahh - Yes - TOTALLY QUALIFIED then, to work on ACC cases.
What a F**k*ng shame this (ACC) oganisation is.
Once I get back home, (and on my own email account) - promise (no, more than that, I guarantee) that I'm going to send LOTS of emails to international (read Canada and USA) sites about the ACC shame in New Zealand.
Being over here, and seeing yet again what a health care system (albeit flawed) SHOULD be, it only serves to outline HOW BAD the New Zealand ACC system really is.
Folks,
ACC REALLY SUCKS
and, it is a DISGRACE to New Zealand

My description of Kanji would be to Hot to post...
But the real problem here is, in the MANAGEMENT, who hire an AXXXXXXX like this to serve their own purposes...
This AXXXXXXX's report are sometimes so flawed, it is not that hard to have them overturned... But you need a HIGHLY QUALIFIED INDEPENDANT assessment report first...
Dr White should be looking at this SITUATION, INTENTLY...
If there are to be changes to a fairer and more honest style of "Customer Service".

Some good news about this interesting charactor is I got 18% disability given to me from the information supplied by ACC Representives in Whangarei ... never meet him ...
Yet at the time my file under ACC Whangarei management under Injury Descripition showed Null recorded ... my file had an ACC system change by an ACC Whangarei Representive on the 14/8/2000 ... Null changed to show an injury.

mmmmmmmmmm ACC Whangarei managed to open a file where I had just a sprain / strain ... seems a bit excessive getting 18% disability for a sprain or strain ?
2 files same day / time yet aprox 140 miles apart ...?

In a similar vein, does anyone know if there is anything in the regulations that says we have to be given a choice of treatment provider? I didn't get a choice with this either. Have others had the same experience?
Hello there my name is Darrell Pearce. my opinion is that you are entitled to the list of assessors which then means you can see which doctor or specialist of your choice not who those fruitcakes want you to see.

I think dr kanji has removed himself from the acc roll so maybe a second opinion on the guy is in order. I have been seeing him for six months or so for injection therapy for chronic pain and although the site of the pain isn't fixed (I believe it is still re injuring me), the overall pain I had has been cut back up to around 90 percent. Dr Kanji is working hard to help a lot of pain patients who have never had a chance to get relief from their pain. I think dr kanji has been able to help a lot of people who have basically been given a (painless) chance to get on with their lives. Give the guy a break, and if your dr sends you to Dr Kanji go in with an open mind, you may be pleasantly surprised.
Cheers

the Drs that are toadies will always be the toadies that they are, unless they decide to go into bat for the claimants that they hurt.
Dr Kanji us still collecting money from ACC and yes he may be giving you some help but for how long.
welcome back.

Dr Kanji is participating in an approved recertification programme relevant to the vocational scope of General Practice.
Dr Kanji may work outside the stated vocational scope but must do so within a collegial relationship.
This is an indication there is something in his past that is very serious and not "posative"
The Medical Council do not do this without very good reason, especially for NZ trained doctors.

HE IS REFERRED TO AS A PAIN THERAPIST. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A REGISTERED GP TO CARRY OUT ANY WORK AS A THERAPIST.
ALSO ANYONE WHO WAS ASSESSED BY THIS GUY SHOULD HAVE THE DECISION OVERTURNED AS HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING "UNDER SUPERVISION"
Perhaps ACC can explain as to why they are not using him now as a Toady Assessor?
