Hey all,

I went for a lump sum assesment a over a year ago for type 1 CRPS in my lower right leg and was assesed at 32% disabled since then the CRPS has spread to my entire body barring my left leg. I have now been covered for type 2 CRPS and am waiting on cover for depression and anxiety directly relating to the injury. My question is if i get reassesed will it include my other issues, little/no sleep, loos of intimacy with my wife, the anxiety/depression as well as the physical pian and deformitys.

Cheers

If all signs and syptoms match what your specialist acknowledge to be part of your medical condition..

Then provide the assessor with the relevant information

Ask for an assessor who matches the qualificationsof your specialist

...as yesterday...friend was sent to an "acc pain specialist" who had no more qualification than his own GP

The assessor was more interested in pushing pills...
than affirming said claimant intolerant of pills assessor was talking about

About time acc came clean!

There are such things as pain pumps,
and lignocaine patches that work directly at the pain source..
being absorbed through the skin so non invasive...

Get a copy of your file

Take a support person and all relevant medical documents. ..
make a list of those documents you are providing and
most importantly...

record the assessment....it's legal to do so...
Perfectly legal...

Go well...

Also...use the search engine at the right hand top corner...and search :all forums..

Go well
