I have no direct knowledge of Adam Durant.
It is difficult to advise you recommend any difference between Clayton Brown and Adam Durant as you have not particularised the nature of the work you are expecting to have done. Different surgeons have different specialties and even within those specialties may be better at one type of activity of another.

In general the ACC like to have their contracted medical assessors to themselves in as much as they cite a conflict of interest if they form contracts with those who provide treatment to ACC claimants. The results is that more often than not the ACC rely upon treatment providers that have become retired. Having said that there is no actual legislation describing any particular requirement except the issue of fairness.

this may help clarify what it is acc are seeking
is it referral for surgery? to fix you
or an acc assessment
you do realise, you have the choice of ANY QUALIFIED DOCTOR you choose, not just any off the list acc provide...
neck injury should NOT be under orthopaedic, it should be under a neurosurgeon

Hi Aerial,
I am currently in the process of getting a rotator cuff(shoulder) surgery done by Adam Durrant. I was wondering how your surgery went and who you ended up going with? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi
Rotor cuff surgery is usually very helpful. Both my L & R shoulders were given an acromioplasty RC operation and both had more Range of Motion after and the pain subsided considerabley. Don't be in a hurry to use them again too early. Little step each day for repatriation and the pool exercises is best way to heal. Some heal completely and some don't, but the operation is worth it just for the extra ROM and the lessoning of pain.
I had a Wellington private surgeon. So sorry cannot tell you about the Auckland Fellows.
Good luck and go easy,
Mini
