Hi All

I was originally assessed By Gordan Hancock in INvercargill and it was decided that my Impariment rate would be 48% . This was fine and went on for years untill last year where I felt I had gotten worse. I contacted acc and got the ball rolling . It took 7 months to get a assesment which was with Dr Alan Walker at Pitt Street Medical Centre. I saw this doctor was in ther efor 25 mins with him he had little information about me . He wrote this report which was very long and had no factual information he had gone on what I had said , and as I have a brain injury I tend to get alot of things wrong . The report was crap and he lowered my Impairment from 48% to 15%. HOW CAN A BRAIN INJURY GET BETTER IT CANT REALLY . ANyways we where pissed witht he report and took it to reveiw . My mum did all the hard work and got a case together , she acted on my behalf and we got his report qushed and they had to reasses me . I told them I want Gordan Hancock to assess me . I had my assesment today and it went real well . I HIGHLY SUGGEST U DO NOT GET REVEIWED BY ALAN WALKER > HE IS A ROTTEN EGG . If u can get Dr Hancock he has a disability himself and is a lovely man and very understanding and fair unlike walker who was blunt and didnt want to listen to me . He just wrote rubbish . My claims where for a Sessitive claim , Back INjury and my Head Injury . All the doctors that had read walkers report are shocked by it . AVIOID ALAN WALKER .

Thats just my 2 cents

Dr Allan walker has a habit of not assessing all of the covered injuries. this is especially of the ACC don't want to have them covered.

If Dr Walker has obvious left out some of the injuries then look at having the NZ Police look into him for crating a false documentation for the gain of the ACC staff.

Hello Timbo

I have to say...welcome to the world of corrupt and 'the man who pays the piper plays the tune' conduct. I too am aware of this conduct in particular toward TBI affected people. I am not afraid to say nor openly accuse on a public forum that a certain specialist psychiatrist by the name of Dr John Lewis Collier (registered company address 11 Firth St Hamilton east) uses such conduct to make up his reports...the 15 percent you speak of is the bare minimum to be eligible for a Independence allowance as I understand it. I also would guess that they are diagnosing you with the bare minimum to at least make it look like you are entitled to something in the hope it keeps 'one' quiet and not to rock the boat too much. Get a copy of all your files and research them mate...compile everything that is questionable and been overlooked to make up that chaps report...you maybe surprised...keep in touch

im not being sarcastic here, but isnt it amazing that you have miraculouly healed?

fair statement corrupt motive, we shall not be silenced!

i went from 95% disability to 5% ! ! !

however, that was another injury and i worked hard to recover from it!

this time, as well as the current injury, i was knocked out in 2009 and suffered concussion for about 9 months, that aggraved this injury, but helloooo im so well, apparently i could just walk in and run winz!!! or cyfs!!!

go figure???

sorry to hear you are having a rough time of it...

Hi all it is Darrell here. Alan Walker is a bma at acc in Invercargill. Also he is an employee of acc with regards to the law whatsoever. There is a case out there just recently by Judge Cadenhead who accepted the evidence of the treating doctor against Alan walker. The case is David Mcdonald. I don't have the case number on me but i will track it down & post on this site.
Kind Regards
Darrell Pearce

Hi all it is Darrell here again. The case number is 153/2009. The result was in the claimant's favour as Alan walker only had secondhand information. Hope that helps.
Keep up the good work
Kind Regards

Judge Cadenhead is pretty specific.....

[25] With respect, it is submitted that Dr Walker's report should be given less weight than Dr Pereira's notes and Mr. Packer's letter. Dr Walker is an employee of ACC and is not an expert in this field, rather his expertise relates to the area of general practice. Nor did he have the benefit of a personal examination of Mr MacDonald, whereas both Dr Pereira and Mr Packer did. Dr Walker's opinion is simply based on generalised second hand information.

Hi Jasperdog
I saw Dr Walker and he halved my impairment %. I just went to review and lost on the basis that his report is correct and its how I presented on the day. Even though ACC had the report reviewed and said it was to be disregarded! They are saying I was in denial of my injury at the time of assessment. Prior report at a higher %. Has been peer reviewed and now higher but still lower than original report... sigh.... Im going to take this to court and try to get this report disregarded and taken from my file.
What a night mare!

Im trying to get together evidence of overturned reviews and court decisions on Dr Walker. Would you be prepared for me to use your case as evidence? If no I totally understand
