Or do you think your IA has been under valued, and your impairment is >3%?
If this is the case, then it would cost you approx $2,400 for an independent IA assessment to be done, so you would need to decide whether it is worth your while to persue this, as to get back the money value of the impairment v the cost of the IA assessment.
Hi Unicorn 57 my impairment ratings were 9%, 7%, 8%, 10%, 8% 10%. That is for my sensitive claim & left knee claim as well. Yes an orthopaedic surgeon did the report in 2001 at acc's request without giving me a choice. Gavin farr then broke the deadlock by backing up what the other orthopaedic specialists said as well. i have 3 independent reports on me from orthopaedic specialists who have all said that acc are wrong all the time.
I have not seen your review decision.
Good luck & congratulations on your success at review -

Another eventful day with the IA review WON.
Reviewer quashed ACCs decision (the Disentitlement of my IA) and Dr Rosie Fenwicks abstract abusive IA assessment.
Awarded costs and backdated IA, so Yippee again
I reccommend evryone uses a Lawyer at review.
Now Im just waiting for my weekly comp to eventually enter my bank account, and then the backdated amount of this.
And now my IA to be in the bank, and the backdated amount.
Wonder what punishment theyl try to dish out to me for this lates win - already at purgatory, so not sure whats left - a hitman maybe?
Costs awarded approx $2500.
Hi all i won my second review but acc appealed the decision to the district court. The reviewer stated in part. I note that a considerable amount of money has been invested in the legal pursuit of whether or not MR PEARCE has an entitlement to the independence allowance. It seems fairly clear that if i quashed & directed, even if a second orthopaedic surgeon supported MR BROWN'S assessment of 3% it is highly likely that an appeal to the district court would result in MR GRAYSON'S opinion been accepted. -

ACC clinical director Kevin Morris is leaving the corporation to take up a post with the Medical Council.
Dr Morris leaves ACC on 10 August after 20 years of service, an ACC spokesperson says in an email to New Zealand Doctor.
Dr Morris will be the council's medical advisor.
Hi all Kevin Morris was the one who cost me my indpendence allowance when he incorrectly reffered to the right knee & admitted a year later. He still stands by the toadys he has trained up to do these independence allowance assessments for acc.
