Have you ever been referred to TBI

Any info appreciated (experiences etc - do they know what they're doing etc)

I seem to remember some members having issues some years ago with "Wakefield Back Institute".

Ha If you are being sent to see Mr Welsh (as I recently was before disentitlement), please, please record the assessment!! He is Soooooo dodgy, and you have to virtually shout, as hes so old and doddery and deaf!! Thank goodness I had a support person with me who can do an Affidavit for my review. I think he supplements his pension by doing these very dodgy reports for ACC.

He says what hes going to do, and appears to be compliant to you....but what he actually does is to produce a report, that could be written about an entirely different person than yourself....specifically designed to disentitle you. SO your CM can get her bonus. Maybe she shares it with him? Wouldnt surprise me at all.

Its not Mr Welsh is it? Probably theyre all the same there.

At least take a support person into the appointment with you - but I wish I had a recording of it - he is such a blatant liar and coerser.

IMHO Mr Welsh is sooo dodgy, that ACC contact his recption, and him, to make sure you dont spend any time looking through the reports theyve sent him for your assessment. They did this to me, said Id be disentitled if I wasted any appointment time checking the reports they sent for the assessment. This (proven) is because they had only sent him the reports without the corrections.

And the report did not have any reccommmendations on it either - and it is standard practice for specialists to show reccommendations on their report!!
I rang his receptionist to seek the reccommendations part of the report, and the receptionist wouldnt answer the calls, but what she did do, is she contacted ACC CM to let her know I was trying to contact Welshs office to get the reccommendations part of the report....then my CM contacted me via email (silly girl) telling me I was not allowed to contact Mr Welshs rooms!! DOH!

I believe that TBI Health are fully funded by the ACC, and because of this, they cannot be deemed to be an Independent Assessor, coz ACC pay their high flying lifestyle.

I believe they do exactly what ACC direct them to do, as their designer toadie specialists!
